One More Delay in Demolition of CityCenter Harmon Hotel

Published by on

Clark County, Nevada District Judge Elizabeth Gonzalez has decided this is not the time to demolish the empty Harmon Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. Gonzalez issued an order on January 31st requiring the CityCenter owners to postpone demolishing the flawed tower.

CityCenter, owned by MGM Resorts International (MGM) and Dubai World, has been trying to demolish the half-completed building since 2008. The builders have argued the building needs to stay up to serve as evidence in an eventual lawsuit.
