Posey County: Replace Posey County Bridge 159, which carries Carbon Road over Little Creek 7 miles NE of Mt. Vernon. The new bridge will be 121’ feet long by 24’feet wide, positioned where the present span is now located and resting on one new pier and new bents atop one existing pier and two existing end bents The new bridge shall employ steel beams supporting a corrugated steel deck with reinforced concrete fill. Posey County will furnish, but not install, the steel beams with corrugated deck, guardrail post and bridge railing attached. Project work will include removing the existing bridge super- structure and one pier, building one new pier and three caps atop existing bents, installing the new steel spans, furnishing and installing a new reinforced concrete deck, modifying the bridge approaches, building new off structure guardrails and all other works shown or indicated in the plans and in these specifications, and providing traffic warning and control during construction
