That is good to know, it does give you that extra layer of security.

Yes, they are internet based but the one issue with that is the level of security they have bumped up. Its great to know it is secure but unless you can access your email account to verify the IP address you are using, you cant log on. I am lucky I have a laptop so i can take it with me but if I tried to log on from a PC than I would have to log in, wait for an email, and link in using the email in order to access it. If I just had my outlook set for emails rather than having a internet based email host I would be screwed and unable to get in.

I did find out that they spent around $2200.00 getting it set to the way they wanted.
I guess being one of the positives about it, that it is web-based, so as long as you have internet access you can sign in.

we use it to track all leads, customers, reps and dealers. I wish the learning curve went a bit quicker. It was slow because they just kind of dump you into it. My office manager spend 15-20 hours on the phone and computer trying to get through some issues early on and then i had her train the staff instead of each employee wasteing individual time and compounding the downtime cost. overall i give it a:yesway:and that is coming from the owner. I will check into it for you, but I think it was in the neighborhood of around $3500.00.

James,

I signed up for a free demo of the professional edition at salesforce.com. Would you mind telling me how it was expensive for the other company to implement it. As far as I can see at this point and time, it doesn't seem that it will take anymore than time to customize it. Thanks

I could tell you that I did like the interface and all the options that it could do. My concern was is they told me they spent a lot of money upfront to set the system up to their specs.

James,

I've looked into salesforce.com and quite a few other online crms. I haven't decided on which one to go with yet, but I would be interested in any information anyone else has on these services.

Thanks

I did some consulting work for a company and they used Salesforce.com to pretty much track all there bids, contacts, and just about everything else.

Anyone else use them?
