Roane County: Demolition and Asbestos Abatement. The Roane County Commission is seeking sealed bids for demolition of four (4) structures located throughout Roane County. The scope of work will entail demolition with some asbestos abatement, and proper removal of all debris resulting from said demolition, as well as site restoration following the demolition. Three structures require asbestos abatement on the project. One structure requires only demolition, and no abatement is necessary, Private owners own all structures and have authorized the Roane County Commission to bid out and contract abatement and demolition. This project is funded through the WV Department of Environmental Protection’s removal of abandoned and dilapidated structures grant program. Bids will be accepted for either Project A, Project B or both Projects A & B. If a bid is awarded, all work must be completed within 120 days. Project A: Structures requiring asbestos abatement and demolition: 977 John Boggs Rd, Spencer; 16 Linden Rd, Looneyville; 8681 Clay Rd, Left Hand. Project B: Structures requiring only demolition: 128 Linden Rd, Looneyville. The Roane County Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
