[font=Verdana]The Seattle District Corps of Engineers has a competitive requirement to Improve Family Housing, [/font][font=Verdana]Mt. Home AFB[/font][font=Verdana], [/font][font=Verdana]Idaho[/font][font=Verdana]. This project includes construction (by renovation and new work) to upgrade the remaining 12 housing units in the 48 unit Eagle View Neighborhood through whole house renovation. Construction work will include revision of interior spaces to include wall reconfiguration for more efficient room use, new carpeting, utility re-work, installation of appliances, and other selected improvements. Renovation and replacement of exterior bricks, and sealing exposed utility access. Replacement of front and rear porches to match the remaining 48 units. Removal of existing carports and construction of new enclosed garages. Removal and replacement of the basement access stairs (with new outdoor treated wood) and the metal doors, to include the introduction of new stairway handrails and lighting. Site work includes miscellaneous site utilities, pavement and slab replacement, fence and gate relocation, rock excavation, and landscaping work. Providing operation and maintenance manuals, as-built drawings, equipment lists, etc. Optional work (subject to sufficient remaining funding) will include replacement of carports with enclosed garages, new basement access improvements, and miscellaneous associated site work for the remaining existing Eagle View Neighborhood. Estimated dollar value is in the range of $1,000,000 to $5,000,000 and the completion period is 395 calendar days. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code has been replaced by the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code. The NAICS code for this project is 236118, which is matched to SIC Code 1521. This requirement will be a Best Value procurement conducted in accordance with procedures outlined in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 15. The solicitation will be a Request for Proposals (RFP), and a fixed-price contract will be awarded as a result of this procurement.
