right now i am working as a crane op at a large scrap yard in new orleans. we are processing 3 navy ships, 20 barges, 15 shrimping boats, and all the other stuff that comes into a large place like southern scrap/emr. biggest cut we have had in the last month was about 9 foot thick. i was not the burner on that, but i was the operator. the burner did not use anything special, just a 48 inch torch with a 7 hd tip and 140lb on the o2 side. took a couple days, but we got it.

Torching who in here has done some torching. What is allot of torching? Heavytorching is that 48 inch mill roll in your avatar picture? What kinda torch did you use to make that cut all the way through it? I wish I could post my pictures of the biggest objects I have cut. I cut up some hammerbases that weighed 250,000 lbs a piece. They were huge 7ft x 7ft x 16 feet. It was hilarious took a whole 8 hours almost to make a cut. We filled up a 20 yard lugger box with slag they could barely pick up the box the truck was gruntin like it wanted to give up. 8 cuts and 10 40-50,000 lb solid pieces of steel. We just threw them on the truck and off he went he did not even chain them. Enough about my accomplishments what is some of the biggest things you have burnt up. Where at in MI are you at I am in STL, MO at the current moment. I love burning and would be happy to share some of my stories and methods with those on the board here since were all family in one way or another even though we compete against each other.
