The first building to go is the former Dania Boat Sales, demolition should take about a week.

The demolition of the hotel’s parking garage is tentatively set to start on January 2nd and take about a month to complete. The demolition of the hotel itself is scheduled for April 7 and will wrap up in June.

The buildings are being demolished to make way for the opening of a longer runway at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

The BG Group, LLC (aka BG Demolition) is the demolition contractor for both buildings.
