A wall of a building under demolition in Brooklyn collapsed Wednesday morning, sending debris raining down on cars.
The 40-foot exterior wall on Wythe Ave. at N. 13th St. in Williamsburg gave way about 9 a.m., taking scaffolding down with it, officials said
Bricks, wooden planks and metal poles fell onto three parked cars, damaging them. No injuries were reported, officials said.
“Sorry about your cars,” witness Alexis Ohanian Sr. tweeted Wednesday. “Doesn’t look like anyone was hurt, thankfully.”
Other witnesses said the wall collapsed after a crane being used in the demolition crashed into it.
The city’s Department of Buildings was investigating.
