At the moment Beelen is one of the 2 largest demolition contractors in Holland. Cause the invest in modern demolition equipment and methods. Demolition with a wrecking ball is not allowed in UK. So companies have to find a saver and cheaper demolition method. So the development in demolition booms is booming. Now there are telescopic demolition booms up to 50m.

The largest sorting and demolition grab is build by Verachtert (www.verachtert.nl). The european largest manufacturer of demoltion equipment. The first one is sold to Beelen Sloopwerken (www.beelensloopwerken.nl) and they use it on the short boom of the cat 385B UHD. But can also working on a cat 365B/375B.

I think that a lot of american demolition companies also could use it on their large excavators. For more technical information you could seen on the site of verachtert.

The grab has a working weight of 7-8 tons. The grab has a opening of 3.5 meters. When closing, the force is 15 ton!

When companies are interesting, contact verachtert. I am also interesting in the reactions from the grap from the US demolition companies.
