Eastwood Demolition has recently purchased a C-12 jaw crusher, E-7 screen, and 3600 Heavy-Duty C&D Shredder from Extec Screens & Crushers Ltd. These state of the art machines will be used to process leftover material from the company's core demolition and waste recycling operations.

Eastwood demolition has developed an excellent reputation in Northern Ireland as a thoroughly professional demolition and asbestos removal company. Over the last few years business has boomed and they currently employ over 30 people in a variety of roles.

The Extec equipment purchased by Eastwood Demolition currently produces thousands of tons of construction and demolition material from various demolition projects, landfill sites and transfer stations, with all materials being crushed and screened on site. This quality recycled material is then sold to construction companies and scrap metal merchants.

One of the main challenges facing Eastwood Demolition is in reclaiming concrete from a concrete structure and the separation of the concrete from the embedded re-bar. For Eastwood Demolition, multiple re-bar removal and the Extec C12 are key components of a successful concrete reclaiming process. As John Eastwood, Managing Director of Eastwood Demolition points out: "The process of separating re-bar from waste concrete translated into steady sellable products, recovering both concrete and steel. The downtime associated with this process was significantly reduced thanks to the C-12's revolutionary hydraulic features such as the hydraulic jaw adjustment and reverse crushing action."

The other Extec machinery that has suitably impressed Eastwood Demolition is the Extec E-7 and 3600 Heavy-Duty C&D Shredder. Both machines are used to process large quantities of construction and demolition waste. The E-7 creates further products when it is used in combination with the Extec C-12 due to the very precise grading it is capable of.

The Extec E-7 screen offers users tremendous performance and productivity for the efficient and high volume recycling of construction and demolition waste. One of the most flexible and robust screening machines on the market, the E-7 has proven to be a highly efficient asset as John Eastwood states: "The ability of the E-7 to pre-screen C&D waste, which is big in size, at high production rates has been instrumental in allowing our company to efficiently produce material of good quality."

For even greater efficiency Eastwood Demolition also invested in the Extec 3600 Heavy-Duty C&D Shredder. The high flexibility of the machine in terms of the varied materials which can be processed and its extraordinary, high throughput were the major components that influenced the decision making process.

Eastwood demolition has a full complement of waste material processing equipment at its facilities in Crumlin and Newtown Abbey in Northern Ireland. This means they are able to pursue additional opportunities in the region whilst also being able to cater for a greater number of Northern Ireland's waste disposing problems, so continuing to be a very competitive facility at the top of a very competitive market.

Extec Screens & Crushers Ltd offers a full range of mobile screening and crushing technology.
