Mustang Manufacturing of Owatonna, Minn., has developed a radio remote control boom system for its Mustang Telehandler skid-steer loader models. The radio remote control option allows a worker on a platform to control the boom without needing a cab operator in the skid-steer loader.
The new remote control pendant allows the remote operator to start up and shut down the engine, as well as raise, lower, extend, and retract the boom.
The system works on the 742, 944, and 1155 Telehandler models. It also can work in tandem with other attachments, such as truss booms or forks.
Compact and portable, the system also features Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum technology that removes the risk of interference with other radio-wave equipment.
