That would be nice in the winter because there is nothing worse than being up in a 85 ' man lift on a cold day with cranky hydraulics :(

JLG Industries of McConnellsburg, Pa., has upgraded its SkyPower generator with a new belt-driven model for its boom lift equipment.

The new 7,500-watt belt-driven generator, which runs at 10,500-watt peak, is more efficient than hydraulic power alternatives, which require an engine to operate at higher RPM's and which raise the risk of hydraulic leaks and fluid overheating. The generator can also power electric tools - such as saws, drills, or grinders - with a power supply that lets operators run several tools simultaneously.
The upgraded generator appears on the 600S, 600SC, 800S, 800A, and Ultra Boom series boom lifts.
