Hitachi Power Tools today announced a new cordless 18-volt 1.5Ah impact driver, the WH18DFL, which combines the high torque of automotive wrenches with the precision of traditional driver drills. This 1/4" hex impact driver includes an electric brake and is ideal for fastening, driving and drilling applications. Work is more comfortable and convenient with a job light and belt hook integrated into a sturdily constructed design. Even with so many features, the WH18DFL is a light-weight and affordable lithium ion option. Comprehensive battery compatibility within Hitachi's 18-volt cordless series (DMR, DVF3, DFL and DL) gives the user even more flexibility and value across the Hitachi cordless line.

Compact and lightweight, the WH18DFL allows effortless maneuverability. The 1.5Ah lithium ion battery significantly reduces the tool weight which lessens user fatigue and improves manageability in awkward or overhead applications. Weighing in at only 3.3 lbs, this impact driver features a two-piece magnet motor with an impressive tightening torque of 1150 in-lbs to handle the toughest jobs with ease. Its no-load speed of up to 2,500 RPM and a 3,000 BPM impact rate make projects faster and easier. Heavy applications such as tightening carriage bolts, driving lags, automotive work and sinking deck screws call for an impact driver, a tool that can also perform lightweight tasks like hanging doors or installing cabinetry.

The electronic feedback power control switch provides the user with equal torque and speed in both forward and reverse.
