I don't think they will ever tear down the Great Wall completely. They may tear down sections to rebuild. But then again I guess you never know.

That Chinese deconstruction video is just amazing. No, can't imagine doing all that wrecking by hand. The Chinese are getting a lot of bad publicity, though, for all the demo they are doing on the old historic "hutong" neighborhoods in Beijing--too much wrecking to get ready for the Olympics in 2008. The funny thing is, they are destroying exactly what people will come to Beijing to see. Hope they don't demo the Great Wall in the process it. It is falling down in places.

Probably the natural buoyancy of the bus gave the operator a false feeling and when he was closer to the surface the full weight loaded on the crane. He's lucky to be alive.

Sheesh, seems to me they used the wrong crane for that type of job. The boom was to far out over the edge. Probably would have been better to use one on a barge.
