Yes it is Basalt and very dence had a 7500 lb hammer on a 370 would not even scratch it. The drill is made by Can Am rock drill it is made in Canada but the dealer is based in NJ.

Where do the drills come from and who makes them? They seem like a pretty slick piece of equipment. A little modification...great way to drill a building.

Dang that is a lot of rock, what kind of rock is it?, mostly Basalt?

I take it you run into a lot of this? It's not a piece of equipment demoliton contractors buy everyday.

Yes it is a house I am working on for one of my regular customers. We have removed about 450 CY of rock out all ready and have about 150- 200 more to go
