Are there also pics from the machine on the Af Decom yard. Is it still in green white colours or is it repainted.

It is a Genesis 2500 R mounted 3rd member. I have sold several 2500 shears for an offshore aplication, but they are not on excavators. They are free hung from cranes and cables.

Jesus that is a monster, how much does something like this cost?... I mean the entire package.

guys would an hitachi ex2500 equipped with a shear be the biggest demolition excavator cause a demolition company nearby is thinking about putting an Hitachi EX2500 in service and equipping it with a Genesis GXP2500 Rotating shear is this big demolition excavator to large for work

sounds like a little overkill for me, unless it would be in use on a scrapyard or some really insane big demo job.

I forgot...the 2 that were made by LaBounty had a 72" or better opening:)
The UH 801 Hitachi weighed over 350,000 pounds.

BULL SHIT..!!! :noway: You must know better Geert.
Beelen is not at all the biggest Demolition contractor in Europe.
And by far not the one with the biggest demolition equipment fleet.
And before anyone thinks: this is not the biggest Scrap shear in the world!

It is a beautifull machine but:

Sad to say: Get real!!! or say nothing!!!

Boyas Excavating had the biggest shear attached to a UH 801 Hitachi. It was made special and only 2 were ever made. They had a shear force of about 12,000 tons. The other one was made for a Swedish marine contractor who used it to shear legs on oil well platfroms. I saw the shear operate in Youngstown, Ohio when I was shooting some salamanders for Pete Boyas.
