Demobud,

Thank you for the reply. unfortuneately the biomass facilities in New England will not accept "treated wood". Currently we separate the treated from nontreated manually.

Hi mfm, are there any consumers for hog fuel in your area? It is possible that biomass power generation plants could use a mix of some treated woods in their fuel stream. I know treated woods is a bugger to get rid of. If I may ask, what sorting system are you using to separate the treated from untreated?

Does anyone know of any environmentaly sensative disposal options for treated wood. My facility located in southern Maine recycles constuction and demolition debris however, we do not have a good outlet for treated wood (CCA, pressure treated, creosote, penta, etc..). I would look to ship the wood in 100cy trailers. I can be reached at sales@aggregaterecycling.com
