Amerisource,

I have been working with the DEP here in CT on a materials reuse network. At the last meeting a company from Vermont came down to introduce their new website in which you can post reclaimed materials. It can also put you in contact with some other reuse stores here in the New England area.

Reuse Marketplace is the link.

They are currently trying to obtain funding to operate their website, current funding expires in September of this year.

Send me an email if you ARe interested in this site and i can hook you up with a contact at the DEP.

There may still be liability, not withstanding putting a warning on it that way. Be careful with the doors and selling old stuff with lead paint.

Depends on what you are selling them FOR, just don't market/sell those doors as being ideal for the home, you market and sell them as collector's items and antiques, what the buyer does with them after that is their business/problem- you sold them as antiques not replacement building components.

I have a new website coming online very shortly, where demo contractors, historians, preservationists, contractors, consumers, will be able to buy, sell trade and collect used building materials and supplies......It will be industry specific to demolition and deconstruction

Or put a "May contain lead" disclaimer on the doors and let the customer decide.
Getting less $$ because of the lead is still better than paying for disposal.
Of course, that depends on how you plan to sell them.

Watch out for the lead paint on doors coming out of the 1926 school. May not be worth saving them.

Anyone have any suggestions on where to market Re-Claimed Building Material? True Dimensional 2Xs, 4,6,8,10s & 12s along with 2x14 Douglas fir planking. Hardwood Flooring,Pine shiplap planking, Bricks,pavers,3/4" plywood sheets,t1-11 siding, solid wood doors, etc.? We are De-Constructing a 1926 school building. We have numerous other building projects to be De-Constructed in the near future so any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
