Doug I am sorry that my reply is late as this is something that we can do here at Top Grade. We have 3 mobile crushers and 2 screeners that allow us to to go smaller jobs such as this, and larger ones as well, and do mobile rock crushing. We have seen positive growth in the past couple years for this as the benefits of keeping the concrete on site and turning it into needed gravel can be a huge cost savings.
For projects such as the one you mentioned you could sell the gravel, we could sell it for you, or you could convince the owner that he needs a driveway someplace on the property that you will do for hardly nothing just for him. He doesn't need to know that you will save money by not disposing of the concrete this way.
If you have more jobs such as this come up feel free to give us a call at Top Grade here in Yonkers, NY at 914-662-6493. We can take our equipment just about anywhere.

This is work that we could have done for you here at Top Grade Crushing. We have 3 mobile crushers and a couple screeners to do projects large or small such as this one. Of course pricing will still depend on job location, we are based in Yonkers, NY, we would have to figure in our machine move in and move out costs but compared to the price of hauling the concrete off the job site we can usually make a recycling/ crushing solution work. To offset the costs you can sell the gravel that is produced, or we can sell it for you.
If you need this type of work again feel free to give us a a call at 917-237-1680 and we can discuss this further.
What are you guys seeing across the Country as far as mobile crushing and recycling?
A job I just bid had about 700 Ton of Block and concrete(mainly concrete) that had to be hauled out. I lost the bid, maybe because I didn't have a close dump site connection for this and figured in a lot for trucking.
There was plenty of room to crush this onsite to a 3/4" minus and possibly sell to the general for new construction. Would have saved me a bunch and allowed me to be more competitive if the right size machine was close by. There is a company about 2 hrs away but they wouldn't bring their large crusher ..was not cost effective for only 700 ton.
Are you seeing more and more mobile crushers?
How is the crushed concrete product?
I have briefly researched some smaller crushers that will crush/ separate steel at about 100Ton an hour..Pretty neat..Is this becoming common practice in most places?
