Concrete Plant Dismantling for Scrap

Remeber to figure your scrap in long tons (2240 lbs). Thats what the scrap yard is going to use.
Is this a portable batch plant or was it a permanent installation. Portables are generally smaller.
If I had to guess, I would say 200- 300 tons.

just gave a price for dismantle a cement plant, each silo was each approximately 25tons...
but need some pics to assess the amount...

Like demoman indicated... Your trying to put the cart b4 the horse, If your not experienced with the type of demo, keep track of what you come up for your future projects.

I would have to see it or at least some pictures of it. How many Square feet, cf and see the steel to estimate the tonnage - 200 tons isn't an awful lot - that only 10 boxes of prepared beams.

It is all gravy. I want to know what to expect in scrap value. The owner is not getting anything. Do you know how many tons I can expect?

Unless you gave the owner a scrap credit in your bid it should be all gravy. If not, you should have educated your self prior to bidding.

Does anyone know how many tons of scrap a concrete plant produces? It consists of 3 silos, 2 conveyors, 4 material bins, and all associated piping and control wiring. I am dismantling one and am trying to determine how much scrap I will generate. I am figuring around 200 tons.
