**FEDERAL BID** FOB2 Demolition and Site Restoration - The purpose of this Design-Build Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit Offers from Design-Build Contractors (DBC) for the design, demolition/recycling, and site restoration of the Navy Annex/Federal Office Building #2 (FOB2) complex in Arlington County, Virginia, for use as an extension of the Arlington National Cemetery (ANC). For this RFP, the primary structure on the site is referred to as the Navy Annex/FOB2 and the entire site including the primary structure is referred to as the Navy Annex/FOB2 complex. ITEM NO. 1-FOB2 Demolition and Site Restoration, FFP, Provide all design, hazardous materials mitigation, demolition/recycling, construction, and site restoration as a part of the removal of all buildings, improvements, and utilities to a depth of 12 feet in the Navy Annex/Federal Office Building 2 (FOB2) complex. ITEM NO 2-Southgate Road Right-of-Way FFP, Provide the design, demolition/recycling, and removal of all Southgate Road existing improvements and underlying aggregate to a depth of 12 feet, and the site preparation of this area for use by Arlington National Cemetery (ANC). Provide the design, demolition/recycling, and removal of select utilities within designated utility easements. Provide the design, construction, and backfill of select utilities within designated utility easements. ITEM NO. 3-Construct Access Road FFP, Provide the design and construction of an access road including, but not limited to, clearing, grading, earthwork, paving, underlying aggregate, utilities, lighting, seeding/sodding, signage, and signalization. The Design-Build Contractors (DBC) shall provide structural fill subbase for the Access Road construction, as required per final roadway design. On-site structural fill encountered during demolition may be stockpiled and used in lieu of importing structural fill. ITEM NO. 4-NEX Service Station Parcel FFP, Provide the design, demolition/recycling, construction, site restoration, and removal of existing utility improvements to a depth of 12 feet of the Navy Exchange (NEX) Service Station parcel for use by ANC. The NEX Service Station structure, associated paving, underlying aggregate, aboveground storage tanks, underground storage tanks, and designated utilities within the NEX parcel shall be removed BY OTHERS. ITEM NO. 5-Parking Parcel FFP, Provide the design, demolition/recycling, site restoration, and removal of the entire pavement cross section and existing improvements to a depth of 12 feet of the Parking parcel for use by ANC. ITEM NO. 6-Street Trees FFP Provide the design and installation of street trees along one side of the access road. Option Five will not be exercised if Option Two is not exercised Bids due 03/09
