Virginia Port Authority: IFB 2024-02-VPA NNIT Wharf Modifications. Summary: The purpose of this Invitation for Bids (IFB) is to solicit bids to establish a Contract through competitive sealed bids for construction within the existing Norfolk International Terminal (NIT), encompassing improvements to the North Wharf consisting of, but not limited to, installation of a new 120’ gage ship-to-shore crane rail (select structural demolition of portions of the wharf, demolition of landside pavement and trench drain, installation of piles through the wharf deck, installation of landside piles, reinforced concrete pile caps/beams/slabs over water and on land, waterside and landside crane rail/tie-downs/pin sockets/stops, below wharf suspended conduit and utility vaults), demolition of existing wharf marine fenders and mooring hardware, installation of new marine fenders and mooring bollards, installation of a steel sheet pile toe wall, wharf repairs (spalls, cracks, joints, rebar coupler, pile jackets, etc.), and mooring dolphins (installation of concrete piles and reinforced concrete, catwalks, mooring bollards, capstans).
