Charles City County: Hideaway Sewage Treatment Plant Replacement The project is generally described as a construction of a 39,000-gpd sewage treatment plant. Treatment is provided by an extended aeration system and includes a flow equalization tank, a selector tank, two 1st stage aeration basins, two 2nd stage aeration basins, two secondary clarifiers, two aerated sludge digester tanks, control building and all associated equipment, piping and electrical. Flow from the sewage treatment plant will flow through chlorine contact/post aeration tank prior to being directly discharged into an existing outfall. Project includes removal and demolition of existing facilities as shown on the contract drawings.
