Orange County GLO Disaster Recovery Round 2.2 - Bridge/Culvert Replacements. Scope: Project base bid consists of removal and replacement of culverts/bridges at ten sites. Existing structures to be removed include railroad double-tank car culverts (5 sites), concrete box/span culverts (4 sites), and timber bridge, 60’ span (1 site). Proposed replacement structures include concrete box culverts (8 sites), pre-fabricated buried bridge system (1 site), and pre-stressed concrete slab beam bridge, 75’ span (1 site). Bridge roadway approaches will be reworked in advance of structures. Project alternate bids (3) consists of removal and replacement of culverts/bridges at three sites. Existing structures to be removed include railroad single-tank car culvert (1 site), railroad double-tank car culvert (1 site), and timber bridge, 19’ span (1 site). Proposed replacement structures include concrete box culverts (1 site) and pre-fabricated buried bridge systems (2 sites). Bridge roadway approaches will be reworked in advance of structures.
