MD ANDERSON CANCER CENTER: (RFQ) Designed-Demolition and Design-Build Services. Owner seeks designed-demolition and design-build services for the rerouting and decoupling of utility infrastructure, hazardous material abatement, and demolition of the Percy and Ruth Leggett Jones Research Building, Bates-Freeman Building, Anderson Central Building, the Houston Endowment Inc. Park (The Park), Incinerator Control Building, Contractor Work Building, and Boiler Building (collectively referred to as the "Demo Zone"). The project scope includes but is not limited to the following: 1. Investigation, design, and construction services related to the rerouting and decoupling of utility infrastructure to prepare the Demo Zone for demolition while ensuring continuity of utility services to the surrounding campus. 2. Abatement of any hazardous materials within the Demo Zone. 3. Design services related to and demolition of the Demo Zone. 4. Identification and removal of material and equipment for recycling and salvage. 5. Air monitoring. 6. Traffic planning for street closures pursuant to Texas Medical Center requirements. 7. Protection of adjacent buildings and structures. 8. Structural materials testing. 9. Removal of debris, clean-up. 10. Repair and clean-up of surrounding structures as required. 11. Site restoration including but not limited to: final grading to the designed elevations, topsoil, sod / seeding, plantings and any structures such as fencing, etc. that is a part of the final design plan. 12. Coordination and communication with Owner, Texas Medical Center, Houston Police Department, University of Texas Police Department, Metro Transportation, and others as required
