Harris: Southern 400,000-Gallon Ground Storage Tank Rehabilitation for Lake Forest Utility District.Base Bid A - Demolition and disposal of the existing southern 400,000 gallon welded steel ground storage tank (GST) located at Water Supply Plant No. 2 including the tank, tank piping, designated yard piping, designated storm sewer inlet, trees and concrete ring wall foundation. Disposal of the GST shall be done in accordance with all local, state and federal rules and regulations. Construct a new glass lined GST of equivalent size with an aluminum geodesic dome roof, new concrete foundation, install tank piping, designated yard piping, designated storm sewer and inlets and all appurtenances as shown on the plans, and complete all the miscellaneous site work. Alternate included for rehabilitation of northern GST, including pressure washing exterior and spot recoating interior. Base Bid B – Demolition and disposal of the existing 400,000 gallon welded steel GST roof, roof rafters, column support and designated trees. Also, GST interior and exterior to be blasted and recoated, interior ladder to be replaced, seal GST foundation and disinfect tank after completion. Alternate included for rehabilitation of northern GST, including pressure washing exterior and spot recoating interior.
