The Seattle District Corps of Engineers has a competitive requirement for a projected titled, SOF Aviation Battalion Complex, Fort Lewis, Washington. The project consists of constructing facilities for Aviation Battalion operation and maintenance of 26 rotor wing aircraft at Gray Army Airfield. Specifically this project includes renovation of Building 3025 for rotor wing aircraft maintenance hangar, renovate Building 3026 for life-support equipment maintenance, construction of a new administrative building for Battalion and Headquarters Company, construction of storage facilities for aircraft fuel tanks, deployment equipment, communications equipment and life-support equipment, and the construction of an aircraft wash rack. Construction of supporting facilities shall include utilities, security fencing, and vehicle parking. Comprehensive interior design required. Antiterrorism/force protection s hall include security windows and doors, building setbacks, and mass notification systems. Demolition of 437 SM of existing buildings is required, asbestos and lead abatement will be provided as needed, the cost of the abatement is included in this estimate. Estimated dollar value is in the range of $25,000,000 to $100,000,000 and the performance period is estimated at 540 calendar days. The NAICS code for this project is 236220.
