WARE SHOALS: OLD RIEGEL WATER FILTER PLANTS HAZARDOUS MATERIAL ABATEMENT & PLANT DEMOLITION; the abatement & disposal of hazardous materials from, & the demolition & disposal of the old Riegel water filter plants & other structures located on Fairview Ave. & Jones Dr. The work consists of the demolition of the existing water filter plant buildings & structures in Areas 3, 4 & 5 as identified on the site drawing & also on the S & ME hazardous material report in Appendix A, to include hazardous material removal & abatement, disposal in accordance with requirements of regulatory agencies. All structures & improvements above grade are to be demolished, all below grade structures including walls & footings, concrete slabs are to be broken in place, crushed, excavated, segregated from hazardous materials for removal & non hazardous materials shall be excavated & placed as fill material in the existing lagoon (Area 2).
