Piedmont and Grove Creek WRRFs Decommissioning and Demolition Project; The complete closeout, decommissioning, and demolition of the original Piedmont and Grove Creek Wastewater Treatment Plants, including but not limited to the complete dewatering and removal of all onsite solids, the demolition of process tankage and associated structures as indicated in the Drawings and Specifications including but not limited to steel tanks, reinforced concrete structures, lab and chemical storage buildings, manholes, chain link fencing, and asphalt paving. Additional demolition work includes plugging of onsite piping deeper than 4-feet and the complete removal of all piping at or above 4-feet below grade. Following demolition the site shall be backfilled to match existing grade and seeded. Additional includes the solids removal from the existing east and west lagoons at the Grove Creek WWTP and retrofitting of the existing Aeration Basin to facilitate use as an Emergency Overflow Storage Basin including but not limited to construction of drain facilities, flow measurements and control.
