Wando South Swing Space Vocational Building Demolition; The Scope Of The Work for the Demolition of the Vocational Building at Old Wando South includes, but is not limited to the abatement of asbestos-containing floor tiles (approximately 2,150 sf), asbestos containing transite panels on the exterior walls (approximately 1,650 sf), & approximately 16 sf of roofing mastic. After the abatement is completed the demolition of the entire building of approximately 20,000 sf is to be completed. The building is a steel framed, CMU / brick veneer structure with built-up roofing supported by steel purlins. There are some plumbing fixtures, electrical outlets, raceways, cables, etc. scattered throughout the building. The floor system is structural concrete slab on grade. There is also a limited amount of electrical conduit / cable demolition back to the existing building, along with installation of a small amount of new added conduit & cable. The existing water & sewer lines are to be located & capped as shown on the documents. All demolition debris is to be removed from the site, & the site left in a compacted, level, & clean condition including temporary grassing as detailed in the documents. Bids due 01/10
