Martha Dendy School Demolition & Asbestos Abatement; Abatement & disposal of hazardous materials from & the partial demolition & disposal of the Martha Dendy School located on North Bell St. & Washington St. Ex-tension. The work consists of the partial separation & demolition of the old school building including a new doorway & treatment of the newly exposed wall, & demolition of other structures as identified on the plans & also on the Terracon Limited Asbestos & Lead Based-Paint Survey Report in Appendix B of the contract documents, to include hazardous material removal & abatement, disposal in accordance with requirements of regulatory agencies. All structures & improvements above & below grade are to be demolished, including walls & footings. Concrete slabs are to be broken in place, crushed & excavated for removal. Final grading of the site includes importing fill as required to establish grades shown on the drawings to insure positive drainage to the appropriate catch basins etc. The project also includes grassing & seeding, soil erosion & sediment control, traffic control, sidewalk & asphalt removal & all other necessary work to complete the project.
