This project consists of Interior and minor exterior renovation of 26 (base bid + options) Historic senior officer quarters at the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY. Work includes new plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems , complete renovation of kitchens and baths, selective radon and hazardous material abatement, and minor site work consisting of sanitary sewer lateral replacement. Base Bid work consists of 26 Dwelling Units. Options include 10 additional units and int erior finish upgrades. Work under this solicitation is required to be phased. The construction duration is 900 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. The magnitude of construction is estimated to be over $10,000,000.00. The receipt date for bids is April 25, 2006. THIS IS AN UNRESTRICTED PROCUREMENT. NAICS CODE 236115 applies to this procurement. Submission requirements (plans/specs) will be available on/about March 23, 2006 via https://www.fedbizopps.gov (search on W91236% for solicitat ions issued by Norfolk District). No hard copies will be available. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Federal Technical Data Solutions (FedTeDS at https://www.fedteds.gov) database prior to download of plans and specifications. Prospecti ve contractors must be registered in the DOD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Information on registration and annual confirmation requirements may be obtained by calling 1-888-227-2423 or via the Internet at htt p://www.bpn.gov.
