[FONT=Verdana]Modify a vacant 28,490 square foot portion of the first and second floor of the existing building 26 located at Great Lakes Naval Station. Correct all deficiencies in the utilities and life-safety systems for the entire building. As a minimum, but not limited to: 1) repair deteriorated walls, flooring, ceiling, windowsills, doors, washrooms, ceramic tile, toilet partitions, install office walls; 2) repair electrical systems to current code standards including removing and installing main electrical distribution panel; 3) repair/replace heating and air conditioning including air handler unitson roof; 4) repair/replace plumbing system to current codes; 5) install elevator and exterior ramp in compliance with current ADA standards; 6) install a fire sprinkler/alarm system; 7) rehabilitation of the main north and south entrances to the building. The building has special historical masonry construction and is one of the original barracks of Great Lakes Naval Station dating back to 1901. The project has been selected to be set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned construction companies. The expected cost range of this project is between $4M to $5M.
