Davis-Monthan Air Force Base is seeking demolition services to remove existing railroad track and other track materials, approximately 27,676 linear feet, located on the 7 acre property to included road and taxiway locations owned by the Davis-Monthan AFB between Valencia Road and the Union Pacific Rail Road, including track north of Valencia Road, east of Kolb Rd (Tract No. 372 and 375). This is a no cost contract between the Government and the contractor based on the contractor's labor cost to demolish and remove the railroad track versus the salvage value of the track and associated materiels. All spikes, ties, materials, rails and miscellaneous rail items must be removed and site graded level. All work shall be in conformance with the requirements of the contract including furnishing all materials, labor, plant, tools, equipment, transportation, supervision, management and other services (including engineering/technical design support), items and incidentals necessary thereto. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220. All firms or individuals responding must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). The Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requires the use of Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) in Federal solicitations as part of the proposal submission process. All prospective contractors submitting an offer in response to the subject solicitation must go to https://orca.bpn.gov/ to add or update its ORCA record. All responsive offerors will be considered by the agency. The successful contractor will be selected by the Best Value to the Government. Past performance is equally important as price. Price will be based on the largest return to government. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 12 March 2009. A site visit will be conducted on 19 March 2009, interested parties shall meet at the Craycroft Gate Visitors Center 9 a.m. PDT, at Davis Monthan AFB Tucson, Arizona. The entire solicitation will be made available on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Web Site at http://www.fbo.gov. Paper copies will not be available. You may download the solicitation and fax your proposal in. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. All prospective offerors interested in submitting a quote must have a commercial and government entity code (CAGE Code). Interested parties should submit their company name, mailing address, point of contact, phone number, e-mail address, and business status to TSgt Daryl Brooks; email: daryl.brooks@dm.af.mil.
