JOHNSTOWN, COUNTY OF CAMBRIA: DEMOLITION AND SITE CLEARANCE, VACANT COMMERCIAL STRUCTURE REMOVAL. For the removal and/or abatement of hazardous materials, demolition and site clearance, and site restoration activities of one (1) separate and distinct site, being a mixed use residential / commercial structure at 605-607 Franklin Street and 121 Dibert Street, located in the Kernville Neighborhood of the City of Johnstown, County of Cambria. An inspection of the premises, a copy of which is included in the Contract Documents, identifies Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) in various floor tiles and mastic, vinyl sheet flooring and window caulk. The material descriptions, locations and approximate quantities are provided in the inspection report. Where physically accessible and visually evident, all ACM shall be removed by hand and disposed of properly at an ACM-Certified landfill. Because of the potential of limited accessibility to identified ACM, it may very well be necessary to apply the EPA Alternate Asbestos Control Method wherein all general construction waste shall be disposed as ACM lead-based paint and other hazardous materials have also been identified. At a minimum, all LBP / lead containing building components should be handled by a qualified contractor who meets and follows the requirements set forth in the OSHA Lead in Construction Standard, 25 CFR 1926.62
