Al-Tech Specialty Steel (Al-Tech) Lucas Ave. OU-1 Site Remedial Action (project). The project involves the implementation of remedial activities at the Al-Tech Site located within the City of Dunkirk, Chautauqua County. These include, but are not necessarily limited to 1) Mobilization/ demobilization; 2) Demolition of structures and appurtenances; 3) Characterization, disposal and/or recycling of razed materials; 4) Excavation and off-site disposal of contaminated soils; 5) Collection, treatment and discharge of groundwater collected from excavations, sumps and vaults; 6) Backfilling and capping of excavated areas; and 7) Site restoration. The estimated range for this work is: $2.5 Million to $5 Million.
