The Baker School District 5J will receive sealed statements of qualifications until March 4th, 2015 for Environmental Consulting, Cleanup Services & Education Outreach for the real property also known as The Ostwald Brownfield Site Project. Project Description: The Ostwald Machine Shop is a .34 acre property with 5 buildings on it located between residential and commercial areas in Baker City, Oregon. After 80 years in operation, arsenic, lead, chromium, and polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) have been found throughout the site. A "Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessment" and an "Analysis of Brownfield Cleanup Alternatives" (ABCA) has been performed and the scope of work has been selected. The Ostwald site is owned by the Baker School District 5J and thus this project has two goals: to restore the property to a useable and sellable condition and to educate participating high school students and community stakeholders about the brownfield process, impacts and solutions. Requirements: Baker School District 5J is looking for Environmental Consultants qualified to perform: Hazardous Building Material (HBM) survey, a Quality Assurance Project Plan, (QAPP), a Sampling and Analysis Plan, (SAP), a Health and Safety Plan, (HASP), demolish/deconstruct the five existing buildings, decommission the well, remove and dispose of soil and backfill with local materials.
