Triborough Bridge & Tunnel Authority: Replacement of the Queens Approach at the Bronx-Whitestone Bridge. The Scope of Work requires the staged complete removal and replacement of the existing superstructure and substructure of the Queens Approach of the Bronx-Whitestone Bridge and consists of the following: Installation of excavation support systems (inclusive of dewatering) and mini-pile foundations; installation of temporary support systems; staged installation of temporary, movable and permanent traffic barriers; new standpipe system; temporary and permanent electrical power; communications and roadway lighting; staged demolition of the existing cellular abutment, superstructure and substructure; staged reconstruction of paving and on-grade ramps; replacement of existing orthotropic deck overlay system; miscellaneous steel repairs; incidental lead abatement; and maintenance and protection of traffic.
