Town of Chatham, Columbia County: ROUTE 9 INDIAN CREEK BRIDGE REPLACEMENT. This project involves replacing the existing bridge and realigning the stream channel to allow for better hydraulics. The horizontal and vertical alignments will be slightly improved. Traffic will be detoured during demolition of the existing bridge and construction of the new bridge. The bridge replacement alternative will consist of (2) 11'-0" lanes, (2) 4'-0" shoulders. The intersection just north of the bridge will be modified from the existing 'Y' type intersection to a "T" style intersection. The project also involves installation of a drainage structure with frame and grate, as well as installing appropriate MUTCD signage.
