Widening of the Garden State Parkway mainline to add a third travel lane in each direction, including the construction of 4 new bridges, the removal of 4 existing bridges, the rehabilitation of 2 bridges, the construction of 2 new culverts, and the extension of existing culverts. The project also includes 7 new sign structures, 2 signalized intersections, drainage improvements, recharge swales, signing, delineations, lighting, maintenance and protection of traffic, and other miscellaneous work necessary and incidental to the completion of the project, all as described in these specifications and as shown on the plans.
