SUNAPEE: LOWER MAIN STREET BRIDGE #094/100 OVER THE SUGAR RIVER. The Project generally consists of the removal of existing 26-ft long x 22-ft wide bridge with steel stringers and concrete deck; installation and maintenance of water diversion structures and erosion control measures; construction of a new two-lane longitudinal glue-laminated timber bridge over a 26-ft wide channel; repairing and repointing of existing stone abutments; construction of concrete scour walls, abutment wall caps, and sidewalk abutments; reconstruction of approximately 230 ft. of 22-ft wide paved roadway, slope, and drainage; installation of 150(+/-) ft of timber approach rail, bridge rail, and terminal units; installation of granite curbing; re-establishment of turf, wetlands, and landscaping.
