Grand Island North Interceptor - Phase 2 (Project No. 2013-S-4). The proposed Work is generally described as follows: l Bid Section A l Installation of approximately 13,490 linear feet of 48 inch diameter sanitary sewer and associated manholes; of which approximately 135 linear feet, 240 linear feet, and 210 linear feet will be tunneled under the Nebraska Central Railroad right-of-way, Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad right-of-way, and Broadwell Avenue respectively. l Installation of approximately 160 linear feet of 6 inch diameter waterline and appurtenances. l Installation of approximately 1,700 linear feet of 60 inch polypropylene storm sewer pipe. l Rehabilitation of approximately 650 feet of existing CMP storm sewer pipe. l Bid Section B l Installation of approximately 5,080 linear feet of 48 inch diameter sanitary sewer and associated manholes. l Bid Section C l Installation of approximately 2,225 linear feet of 48 inch diameter sanitary sewer and manholes; of which approximately 520 feet and 200 feet will be tunneled under Webb Road and private property easements; and US Highway 281, respectively. l Abandonment of the City's Lift Station No. 19 which consists of the removal of the existing pumps, piping, electrical, and mechanical equipment from the prefabricated lift station; removal of concrete wet well and prefabricated lift station to 10 feet below grade and filling structure to existing grade; abandonment and grout filling of site piping, and associated work. l Bid Section D l Installation of approximately 900 linear feet of 15 inch diameter sanitary sewer and associated manholes. l Abandonment of the City's Lift Station No. 8 which consists of the removal of the existing pumps, piping, electrical, and mechanical equipment from the wet pit / dry pit lift station; removal of the existing lift station building; removal of concrete wet well and dry pit to 10 feet below grade and filling structure to existing grade; abandonment and grout filling of site piping, and associated work. l Removal and replacement of approximately 4,920 square yards of concrete pavement with integral curb, approximately 660 square yards of concrete sidewalk, and approximately 530 square yards of concrete drives along Custer Avenue. l Bid Section E l Installation of approximately 540 linear feet of 12 inch diameter sanitary sewer and associated manholes. l Abandonment of the City's Lift Station No. 13 which consists of the removal of the existing pumps, piping, electrical, and mechanical equipment from the prefabricated lift station; removal of concrete wet well to 15 feet below grade and prefabricated lift station to 10 feet below grade and filling structures to existing grade; abandonment and grout filling of site piping, and associated work. l Removal and replacement of approximately 3,100 square yards of concrete pavement with integral curb, approximately 140 square yards of concrete sidewalk, and approximately 270 square yards of concrete drives along St. Paul Road and 18th Street. l Bid Section F l Installation of approximately 910 linear feet of 18 inch diameter sanitary sewer; of which approximately 120 linear feet will be tunneled under Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad right-of-way. l Abandonment of the City's Lift Station No. 4 which consists of the removal of the existing pumps, piping, electrical, and mechanical equipment from the wet pit/dry pit lift station; protection of the existing lift station building; filling wet pit to existing grade; abandonment of site piping, and associated work. l Bid Section G l Installation of approximately 930 linear feet of 15 inch diameter sanitary sewer and manholes and installation of sanitary sewer service connections. l Abandonment of the City's Lift Station No. 10 which consists of the removal of the existing pumps, piping, electrical, and mechanical equipment from the wet pit/dry pit lift station; removal of the existing lift station building; removal of concrete wet well and dry pit to 10 feet below grade and filling structure to existing grade; abandonment and grout filling of site piping, and associated work. l Removal and replacement of 4,540 square yards of concrete pavement with integral curb, approximately 690 square yards of concrete sidewalk, and approximately 660 square yards of concrete drives along Sycamore Street. l Bid Section H l Installation of approximately 2,180 linear feet of 18 inch diameter sanitary sewer and associated manholes. l Installation of approximately 980 linear feet of 12 inch diameter sanitary sewer and associated manholes. l Installation of approximately 1,750 linear feet of 15 inch diameter cured in place pipe (CIPP) and installation of CIPP sanitary sewer service liners. l Abandonment of approximately 1,600 linear feet of existing 15 inch sanitary sewer pipe by concrete grout filling and abandonment of associated manholes. l Abandonment of the City's Lift Station No. 2 which consists of the removal of the existing pumps, piping, electrical, and mechanical equipment from the prefabricated lift station; removal of concrete wet well and prefabricated lift station to 10 feet below grade and filling structure to existing grade; abandonment and grout filling of site piping, and associated work. l Removal and replacement of 13,100 square yards of concrete pavement with integral curb, approximately 600 square yards of concrete pavement with asphalt overlay, approximately 1,730 square yards of concrete sidewalk, approximately 1,130 square yards of concrete drives, and approximately 480 square yards of concrete drive with 4 inch curb along Huston Avenue and State Street. l Bid Section I l Installation of approximately 3,780 linear feet of 21 inch diameter sanitary sewer and associated manholes. l Abandonment of the City's Lift Station No. 15 which consists of the removal of the existing pumps, piping, electrical, and mechanical equipment from the prefabricated lift station; removal of concrete wet well and prefabricated lift station to 10 feet below grade and filling structure to existing grade; abandonment and grout filling of site piping, and associated work. l Removal and replacement of 13,480 square yards of concrete pavement along Sheridan Avenue, State Street, and Hancock Avenue. The total of Bid Sections A, B, and C will be considered the base bid for the Work. Bid Sections D through I will be considered added sections to the base bid Bids due 08/13
