Hendersonville: (RFQ) Henderson County Emergency Services Headquarters Project, (ESHQ-200) Demolition. The project consists of the complete demolition of the existing Balfour High School at 2529 Asheville Highway, Hendersonville, NC 28791 and the erection of a 52,000SF single-story main structure and a 10,000SF pre-engineered storage building on the same site. Sitework includes clearing and grubbing of the site, demolition of the existing underground services, mass grading, new underground water and sewer services, concrete curbing, and asphalt paving. The building has a structural steel frame with concrete foundations. The exterior envelope is a combination of masonry, EIFS, metal panels, & curtainwall. Roofing will consist of tapered insulation with TPO roofing and standing seam panels. Interior finishes consist of drywall and cement plaster with paint for the majority of the walls, architectural casework, and VCT, ceramic tile, & carpet for flooring. The building is fully sprinklered. HVAC System includes package roof top units feeding a VAV system, unit heaters, boilers, vehicle exhaust systems, and exhaust fans controlled by a building automation system. There is a complete plumbing system for the project including several showers, locker rooms, and vehicle washdown bays. There is a complete electrical distribution system fed from a new pad mounted transformer and backed up with a generator, complete fire alarm system, and an access control system.
