NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS: BIDDER PRE-QUALIFICATION REQUEST: East Carolina University and Barnhill Contracting Company are seeking to pre-qualify construction trade and specialty contractors to submit bids for furnishing labor, materials, equipment and tools to perform the renovation and addition of the White Hall Dormitory located in Greenville, NC. Barnhill Contracting Company has been selected as the Construction Manager at Risk for this project and will receive bids from and contract with the principal trade and specialty contractors for execution of the work. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project is to include the demo of existing building interior finishes on 9 floors (carpet, vct, casework, doors and hardware), drywall work on 2nd floor corridor ceiling, drywall installation, painting, new flooring, new doors and hardware. Corridors and new coordinator apartments shall include PME relocation and new installation. Construction of two new coordinator apartments. Principal trade and specialty contractors are solicited for the following Bid Packages: BP100 - General Trades, BP105-Final Cleaning, BP204 - Demolition, BP640 - Finish Carpentry/ Casework, BP800 -Doors/ Frames/ Hardware/ Div. 10 Specialties, BP836 - Overhead Doors, BP840 - Aluminum Entrances/ Storefronts/ Windows/ Glazing/ Mirrors, BP925-Metal Framing/ Drywall/ Insulation/ Acoustical Ceilings, BP960 -Resilient Flooring/ Carpet and Base/ Ceramic Tile, BP990 - Painting, BP1010 -Signage, BP1530 - Fire Protection, BP1540 - Plumbing, BP1550-HVAC, BP1560 - Plumbing and Mechanical Combo, BP1600 - Electrical.
