Demolition opportunity for Old Evergreens Facility and Old Monticello School; The successful contractor(s) shall be responsible for abatement of hazardous materials, demolition, site surface restoration and grassing and replacement of abated materials as described in the construction documents. The following four Old Monticello School buildings identified on drawing C1.100 are part of this invitation: Building 1 – Classroom Building (approximately 25,300 square feet) Scope of Work includes but is not limited to Total Demolition: Termination of building utilities at nearest disconnect, abatement of hazardous materials per material abatement design specifications, complete mechanical removal, of building sanitary sewer lines, manholes, and septic tank, walls, floor and roof systems, crawl space foundations, basements, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC and electrical systems, selected existing site improvements, backfilling and restoring excavations and depressions left from demolition work, and grassing of disturbed areas. Prior to demolition work, contractor shall relocate playard equipment to other areas of the yard as directed by the owner, reconfigure the playard boundaries with new chain link fencing as shown on the drawings, and restore playard mulch disturbed by new fence work. Playard shall be protected from damage during demolition activities. Existing propane gas fuel tank will be removed by the owner prior to commencement of demolition work. Building 2 – Gymnasium Building (approximately 9,407 square feet) – Building Remaining - Scope of Work includes but is not limited to: Limited restoration – Abatement of hazardous materials per abatement design specifications, removal of exterior roof canopy, repainting windows and doors abated for lead paint, removal of all window glazing anD replacement with new, securing loose caulking with new caulk, replacing thermal insulation fittings removed by abatement with new fittings, and replacing damaged exterior boiler room doors, door hardware and door louvers. Building 3 – Batting Cage Building (approximately 3,292 square feet) - Building Remaining - Scope of Work includes but is not limited to: Limited restoration - Protecting building from damage, maintaining and protecting all utilities serving this building, securing loose glazing putty at 11 active windows with new glazing putty and securing loose caulking at perimeter of 11 active windows with new caulk. (See Alternates for additional Scope of Work.) Building 4 – Home Economics Building (approximately 1,480 square feet) Scope of Work includes but is not limited to Total Demolition: Termination of building utilities at nearest disconnect, abatement of hazardous materials per material abatement design specifications, manual removal of approximately 1,000 face brick, cleaning brick to remove mortar, and temporary secure storage for the brick, complete mechanical removal of remaining building, building sanitary sewer lines, manholes, walls, floor and roof systems, crawl space foundations, plumbing, HVAC and electrical systems, complete removal of existing gravel driveway, backfilling and restoring excavations and depressions left from demolition work, and grassing of disturbed areas.
