Charlotte Douglas International Airport: Concourse A West Ramp Phase 1 - Environmental Demolition; SCOPE OF WORK: Project Description The proposed West Ramp at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport is an area approximately 38 acres, and eight different rental car facilities are located within this area. The scope of work includes demolition of all structures associated with the facilities. In total, the rental car facilities are composed of roughly 62,000 ft2 of primary structure and 58,000 ft2 of parking canopies. Demolition of the structures will also include abatement of asbestos at seven of the eight rental car facilities and removal of 12 underground storage tanks (UST’s), 5 above ground storage tanks (AST’s) and 6 underground oil/water separators (OWS’s).
