WINKLER HALL DEMOLITION; The project includes demolition and complete removal of an eleven story building with about 68,000 square feet. Winkler Hall has a steel frame, concrete floors, CMU and sheetrock interior walls and brick veneer. Asbestos abatement will be completed separately and is not included in this scope. Use of explosives and implosion are acceptable. Primary on-site work is expected to begin in April/ May, 2014 and to be completed in August, 2014. Work will be performed under a Single Prime General Construction Contract. To qualify, the contractor must have an Unlimited General Contractor's license in the State of North Carolina as well as applicable bonding requirements. The contractor must have completed, within the last ten years, three projects similar in scope with a value exceeding three hundred thousand dollars.
