Former Berg Lumber Mill Site soil cleanup and remediation project. The proposed work consists of the removal and off-site transport and disposal of approximately 1,200 tons of petroleum-contaminated soil; removal and off-site disposal of about 6,300 tons of penta- and/or dioxin-contaminated soil; backfill of excavations; revegetation (hydroseeding) of disturbed areas; abandonment of five groundwater monitoring wells; and removal and disposal of approximately 350 rubber tires.
