Construction of the Carbon County Montaqua Road Bridge Replacement; The project consists of the construction of a new bridge in the location of the existing Montaqua Road Bridge Crossing 4 miles northeast of Joliet in Carbon County. The new bridge will replace the existing steel truss structure over Rock Creek. The proposed, 130-foot single-span bridge will be constructed utilizing prestressed, bulb tee concrete beams. An alternate steel truss structure will be allowed. Improvements consist of, but are not limited to; excavation, existing bridge removal, grading, riprap, installation of steel H piles, constructing concrete pile cap and wingwall abutments, supply and installation of the bridge superstructure, guardrail approach sections, bridge barrier railing, and other miscellaneous items.
