WMU seeks qualified contractors to abate, demolish, and properly dispose of debris from the former power plant facility. In addition, the contractor will excavate and dispose of geotechnically unsuitable soil and contaminated soil and debris and restore the property per the Response Action Plan. The facility consists of one large multi-story building, one small building, the foundations of several smaller structures, and various other site facilities associated with the plant. The facility covers a city block at 710 Benson Avenue SW in Willmar, Minnesota and a portion of an adjoining block is also included.
